Capturing the Beauty of Motherhood—With a Toddler in Tow
We had such a sweet session with Kaylee, who’s expecting her second little one, and her energetic 3-year-old daughter. Our main goal was to keep the toddler happy and engaged throughout. Positive reinforcement, gentle direction, and plenty of little breaks worked wonders! She loved being part of the moment and even helped “take care of mom's belly” during some of the shots, which made for the most genuine smiles.
Having dad join us was a huge help! He was great at keeping their daughter relaxed between setups and gave her the extra attention she needed to stay upbeat. It also gave us the perfect opportunity to grab a few quick family shots—simple, joyful moments that captured this special season beautifully.

One of the best parts of this session was finding creative ways to keep Kaylee’s daughter happily involved. Toddlers love to feel included, so we turned small moments into fun "jobs" just for her—like helping fix mommy’s dress, rearranging props, or dancing around to make everyone laugh. Giving her little tasks made her feel important and kept her focused in the sweetest ways. When she needed a break, we simply let her run around or take a breather with dad, keeping the mood light and pressure-free the whole time.
